About “The Wingfeather Saga”:

“The Wingfeather Saga” is a fantasy series written by Andrew Peterson, consisting of four main novels and a collection of short stories set in the same universe. The series follows the adventures of the Igiby siblings—Janner, Tink, and Leeli—as they navigate a richly imagined world filled with danger, magic, and heroism.

The main novels in the series are:

  1. “On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness” (2008)
  2. “North! Or Be Eaten” (2009)
  3. “The Monster in the Hollows” (2011)
  4. “The Warden and the Wolf King” (2014)

The story is set in the land of Aerwiar, a place threatened by the evil ruler Gnag the Nameless and his monstrous creations known as Fangs. The Igiby siblings, along with their companions, embark on a quest to discover their true identities, uncover ancient secrets, and ultimately confront the forces of darkness threatening their world.

The series blends elements of epic fantasy, adventure, and humor, with themes of courage, sacrifice, family, and the power of hope woven throughout. Peterson’s lyrical prose and imaginative world-building have garnered praise from both readers and critics alike.

“The Wingfeather Saga” has gained a dedicated fanbase and has been celebrated for its engaging storytelling, memorable characters, and poignant themes. In addition to the novels, the series has inspired supplementary material such as graphic novels, audiobooks, and a tabletop role-playing game, further expanding the rich lore of Aerwiar created by Andrew Peterson.

Note from the arranger:

This was a request for a young student with smaller hands who could not yet reach an octave. I created a hybrid version of this tune that combines elements from a couple different recorded versions of the song.
