About How To Train Your Dragon:

How to Train Your Dragon is a 2010 animated film produced by DreamWorks Animation, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. Set in a Viking village plagued by dragon attacks, the story follows Hiccup, a clever but awkward teenager who befriends an injured dragon he names Toothless. Through their bond, Hiccup learns that dragons are not the fearsome enemies his people believe them to be. With stunning animation, heartfelt storytelling, and an epic score by John Powell, the film explores themes of friendship, courage, and challenging tradition. It became a critical and commercial success, launching a beloved trilogy.

In 2025, the franchise expands with a live-action adaptation directed by Dean DeBlois, the original trilogy’s creator. Set to release on June 13, 2025, the film features Mason Thames as Hiccup and Nico Parker as Astrid, with Gerard Butler reprising his role as Stoick. Filmed in Northern Ireland, the movie aims to bring the story to life with realistic visuals and a faithful narrative. John Powell returns to compose the score, maintaining the musical essence of the original. A sequel is already planned for release on June 11, 2027, continuing the saga of Hiccup and Toothless.
