About Cruel Summer Season 1

“Cruel Summer” is an American teen drama mystery thriller anthology TV series created by Bert V. Royal. The first season, set in the mid-1990s, follows the story of two teenage girls, Kate and Jeanette, whose lives are deeply affected when Kate disappears and Jeanette seemingly takes her place. When Kate returns after being held captive, she accuses Jeanette of knowing about her abduction but not reporting it. The season delves into a legal battle, causing fractures in families and friendships as the truth is sought.
