The Killers: "Be Still"

About The Killers:

The Killers are an American rock band formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning. The band’s name comes from a logo on a fictitious bass drum in the music video for the New Order song “Crystal.” Over the years, the band has had several members, but the core lineup includes Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. They have released seven studio albums, all of which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.

Their debut album, “Hot Fuss” (2004), gained international success with hits like “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me.” The follow-up, “Sam’s Town” (2006), showed a shift in sound and style. “Day & Age” (2008) continued their success with songs like “Human” and “Spaceman.”

After a hiatus, they returned with “Battle Born” (2012), which featured the hit “Runaways.” Their fifth album, “Wonderful Wonderful” (2017), explored more personal and introspective themes. In 2020, they released “Imploding the Mirage” and “Pressure Machine” in 2021, showcasing their musical evolution.

Throughout their career, the band has received numerous awards, including several Brit Awards and NME Awards. They are regarded as one of the biggest rock bands of the 21st century, with millions of records sold worldwide and successful tours around the globe. The band’s sound has evolved over the years, incorporating various influences and themes, making them a prominent figure in the contemporary rock music landscape.
