I love Thanksgiving! It’s one of the last non-commercialized holiday here in the U.S. Below you’ll find some great piano solo (and duet) selections for a variety of levels.
1. “Over the River & Through the Woods” (Easy Solo with Duet)
This is always a favorite with students. The Primo part works as a stand-alone solo for beginners and late beginners, but add in the duet part and you’ve got something super special!

3. “We Gather Together” (Intermediate Piano Solo)
We Gather Together is a traditional Dutch melody commonly heard around the Thanksgiving season. It is arranged here as an intermediate lyrical solo with a splash of J.S. Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.”

4. “Come, Ye Thankful People, Come” (Late Intermediate)
Come, Ye Thankful People, Come is a Thanksgiving favorite blended with the traditional Shaker melody “Simple Gifts” in a lush arrangement for late intermediates.

5. “Gobble Wobble Rag” (Early Intermediate Solo)
Gobble Wobble Rag is an upbeat pattern-based ragtime solo composed by Jennifer Eklund. This is a great exercise for early intermediates with a focus on split articulations between the hands. Gobble, gobble!
