Built on a simple yet expressive motif, “Saman” uses space and silence as much as melody, inviting the listener into a place of calm and reflection. Its slow tempo and delicate phrasing embody Arnalds’ minimalist approach, where every note is intentional and resonates with quiet intensity.

As part of the re:member project, “Saman” was composed using Stratus, Arnalds’ custom software that generates synchronized piano sequences in response to his playing.
