Big note, landscape format is great for young and/or students with vision-related disabilities
2 versions included: one with (strategic) note names and one without
Single-line melody (no shared keys with the thumbs)
This piece is pattern-based so it will be easy to teach and easy for students to learn
Nice way to introduce staccato playing
Re-write or adjust the lyrics (have fun and be silly!)
Play the piece in different registers on the keyboard (do students like the piece played higher or lower?)
Have students “transpose” the piece by moving the hands to a different position. Don’t worry if you run into interval issues with accidentals in other tonal centers (this is a good lesson in and of itself)
Improvise a duet part and play-along with the student.
